영어공부_라이브 아카데미(20250214)

Must have pp : ~했나봐, ~했던 모양이야, ~했겠다 / 일반적으로 알고 있던, '~했음이 틀림없다' 외에도 상당히 다른 의미들이 있다는 사실을 알게 되었다.

Might have pp (위보다 조금 더 약한 느낌)

어제 백화점에 갔었어	Yesterday, I went to the department store
정말 마음에 드는 코트가 있었어	There was a coat that I really liked
점원이 그게 마지막거라고 그랬어	The clerk said that it was the last one
그래서 그냥 그걸 바로 살 수도 있었어	So I could have just bought it right away
근데, 더 좋은게 있는지 한번 확인해 보고 싶었어	But I wanted to see if there was something(anything) better
근데 더 좋은걸 찾을 수 없었어	But I couldn’t find anything better
근데, 그 첫번째 가게로 돌아갔을 때는 이미 누가 그 코트를 사간 후였어	But by the time I went back to the first store again, somebody had already bought(purchased) that coat
살 수 있었을 때, 그걸 샀어야 했어	I should have bought(gotten) it, when I had the chance
제 친구 중 하나가요, 최근에 일을 그만뒀어요	One of my friends recently quit her job
글쎄요, 뭐 상사랑 문제가 좀 있었나보죠? 그게 아니라면 갑자기 몸이 안좋아졌던거일 수도 있고요	I don’t know, she must have had some problems with her boss. Either that or she might have had some health problems Must have: ~했나봐/~했던 모양이야/~했겠다
어쨌든, 그 일이 질려서 그랬던거일리가 없어요	Either way, it couldn’t have been because she got tired of her job
