영어공부_라이브 아카데미(250118)

어느 정도 영어 내공이 있는 상태에서는, 내가 말하고자 하는 말을 빠르게 영어로 바꾸어 말할 수 있는 것이 중요하다고 생각한다. 그래서 개인적으로 한글로 적힌 내용을 영어로 바꾸는 연습을 많이 하려는 편이고, 개인적으로 아래와 같은 형식의 워드 파일을 하나 만들어 왼쪽 부분의 한글만 보고 영어로 말하는 것을 연습하고 있다. 

 

올해 목표 중 하나가 영어 공부를 꾸준히 하는 것인데, 매일 라이브 아카데미를 듣고 아래와 같이 한글/영어 표현을 정리해 가려고 한다. 

 

*딱 들어갔는데 사람이 엄청 많더라고요	We went inside and I noticed right away the place was packed
*빈 테이블 없고, 보니까 금방 자리가 나지도 않겠더라고요	All the tables were occupied and It didn’t look like anyone was leaving any time soon
그래서 친구보고 다른데 가자고 얘기를 하려는데, 얘가 어느 테이블에 앉아 있는 나이가 좀 있는 커플한테 가더니 같이 좀 앉아도 되냐는 거예요	So I turned to my friend and just as I was about to suggest trying a different place, he went over to this old couple at a table and asked if we could share the table with them
그래서 제가 “야 너 뭐해? 미쳤어?” 이랬죠. 그거 무례한 거 아니에요?	So, I was like ‘what the hell are you doing, are you crazy?’ that’s rude, right?
*전 그건 좀 아닌 거 같더라고요	I mean, I found that really inappropriate
근데 의외로 그 커플이 너무 쿨하게 괜찮다고 해서 바로 옆에 앉았어요	But, to my surprise, the couple were very cool with it, and we sat next to them.
*저는 그래도 그게 좀 어색하더라고요	I mean, I still found that kind of awkward,
*근데 제 친구는 늘 그렇게 한다고 그러더라고요	But It turns out (that) my friend does that all the time
저는 보통 잠들기까지 시간이 엄청 오래 걸려요.	It usually takes a really long time until I can fall asleep
근데 거의 스마트폰 때문이에요.	But, it’s mostly because of my smartphone.
잠들기 직전까지 스마트폰을 보고 있는 경우가 많거든요	I mean, a lot of the time, I’m looking at my smartphone right up until I fall asleep.
대단한 걸 하는 것도 아니에요	I’m not doing anything important
거의 인터넷 서핑하는 거죠.	Most of the time, I’m just web browsing (surfing).
물론, 어떨때는 여행 계획하고 있다거나 그러면 온라인으로 정보를 찾고 그럴 때도 있는데, 대부분의 경우는 그냥 스마트폰에서 눈을 못 떼는 거에요	Of course, in some cases, if I’m planning for a trip or something, I might be looking for some information online, but in most cases, I just have a hard time staying away from my phone.
